TESLA is the Dev/Test Account Management Tool to request, change, and remove access privileges to UNIX/Linux servers.
The tool is designed to automate the request process as much as possible, and to get the request completed as
quickly as possible. For additions and changes, an approval email is sent to your manager, or you can select another manager
to approve your request if your manager is unavailable. After management approves the request, it is completed immediately.
For removals, the request is immediately processed. Any questions/issues about TESLA should be sent to the Frank Thompson/fwthompson@fedex.com email address.
TESLA supports basic requests to select the default group, home, and shell settings when requesting access to the server,
with the ability to change them in the future if needed. Users may request secondary group additions/removals and basic
sudo rules to su to certain app accounts on the server. If specialized sudo rules are needed, or groups/application accounts
are not present on a server that are needed, please open a ticket in PDSM under IT Service Catalog and UNIX/Linux System Management.
TESLA is used for both UTE and legacy systems. Please click on the appropriate link below to access TESLA.
